Under the direction of a new president and strategic plan, the University of West Georgia was positioning itself for success in the 21st century and to be recognized as a first-choice institution that is student-centered, outcome-centric, affordable and full of opportunity. To drive awareness of the strategic priorities and highlight the strong leadership team, we took advantage of opinion editorial articles. This tactic also presented the opportunity to collaborate with community partners, featuring the dynamic higher education and business partnerships at UWG. Earned media focused on inserting the university into timely news stories, promoting innovative new roles and academic programs, and unique campus events and experiences.
