United Community received recognition as one of the nation’s top SBA lenders, ranking 25 out of more than 1,500 banks nationwide. The bank released a press release with this announcement. We identified an opportunity to amplify the news and connect it locally to a priority market through earned coverage. After noting an upcoming list on small business lending in the Birmingham Business Journal, we pitched the finance reporter and secured an interview where the bank’s experts shared key messaging about small business lending and the growth in the region.
